State where this product can not be shipped to include: CA, CT, DE, IL, IN, MD, ME, NH, NJ, NY, OH, PA, RI, VA. The substitue for this product is AD15. The advantage of AD144 over this product is its faster dry time. other than that AD15 is a superior product over AD144.

AD144 is meant to be used as a primer for just about any of our systems but it has been used as a base coat then top coated with urethane for a very economical flooring system.

 When purchasing this product determine amount needed by determining what you are going to be coating.  Besides the floor, our installers coat the side walls, often referred to as the rat wall, with only the primer.  Purchase same color of primer as you do the base coat (AD707) if you want it to match.  Some people prefer to use a different color of primer so that the base coat is easier to apply because the installer can see the difference in colors.  Also, some prefer the contrasting colors of the side walls to the floor base.

If you have a very porous rat wall you may want to order a little more primer and apply two coats in order to really get a deep and even coating.  Since the cost is less than the high solids material, and it is thinner making it easier to apply, it makes the most sense to only use primer for side walls.

Another installer tip, if you want to install your base coat and chips right after the primer, saving time, then apply primer very thin.  A properly prepared floor will wick up the material helping it dry very fast allowing the base coat to go down directly after priming.  Spiked shoes are suggested when applying high solids and if applying over primer right away, helps incase primer is a little tackey or a tad wet still. This method is called wet rolling the base coat and is used by many professionals due to time constraints and provides and ideal bond between the two coats.
