AD322 is meant to be applied thin. A rate of 320 sqft per gal is the heaviest you want to apply this because it may not set-up properly. A 400-425 sqft garage will barely take 1.5 gals. If you have a little left in the pail after your floor is complete don’t feel obligated to use it up. Not necessary. Also, no need to coat side walls with urethane unless you want to. Your choice.

If you are adding ADHWS non-skid agent to the urethane make sure to keep it suspended in the material each time you pour it out on the floor before rolling it out. Keep drill and mixing adapter next to pail and give it a quick mix then right away pour some on the floor and start rolling it out right away. Unlike not using non-skid, the material will look milky white because the color of the agent is a white powder. After it is poured on the floor start rolling right away in order to better spread the urethane and non-skid agent. You will have to roll and roll and roll to spread it out. At first you may think it is all going to stay collected and look pooled-up and may even start to worry you, but stay calm and keep rolling it out. Like the AD707 and AD144, work within the saw cut sections to better gage the material and coverage rates.

If you are doing a pretty heavy chip broadcast then there will be an orange peel type texture to the floor which many people find to be enough for their liking. When wet it can still be slippery so be careful but it is much easier to clean. Of the floor we install ourselves only about 3 in 10 customers prefer a non-skid agent. We notice the older the homeowner the more likely they will want the non-skid agent and if you are a professional installer using our products, we recommend suggesting it. Make a sample board and ensure they know what they can expect.
