This is a great system to use in a residence where a seamless floor is
desired with unique great looks and long term shine. For
concrete substrates, the same system can be applied or simply use AD77
and AD127MUV since no primer is needed like it is on wood to fill the
porous wood substrate. If going over wood make sure to
seal joints with
AD811 before coatings. Also, a primer is
recommended because of the porous substrate that could cause
air
bubbles. Either use
AD10
or you can mix small amount of
AD77 which is the 100% epoxy to use
as base coat, and apply as a primer. You will want to thin with
xylene at a rate of one cup per gallon. However, the smell is
offensive which is why a water-based primer may be better to use. The top
coat best suitable is
AD127MUV. It will be no more slippery
than linoleum, and is extremely easy to clean. Consider
AD339 for top coating. Please
read data sheet before using. Pot life is very short which
provides a fast turn around time. For a small area it may be a
good choice. |

Instructions:
Chip Flakes
Linoleum preparation required roughing surface with sander to give
the surface a light profile to maximize adhesion. Apply one coat
(100 sqft per gal) of AD77 and broadcast flakes into that. Let
dry, then scrap the floor and sweep off to remove any loose material.
Top coat with 2 coats of clear AD127MUV. A second coat of AD127MUV can
be applied if a smoother finish is desired.
