Cold Temperature Products

Below about 50 degrees F the chemical reaction need to cure the epoxy becomes very very slow (or might even almost stop). However, at low temperatures epoxies also become thicker. With many epoxies they become too thick to get out of the container and or to mix easily. Low temperature epoxies usually consist of a 'fast' curing agent, or in other words, an accelerator and accelerated curing agent. These 'fast' curing agents speed up the reaction so that at low temperatures the epoxy will cure at 'normal' time rates. At 'normal' temperatures these fast epoxies would get hard very quickly, probably having a pot life too short to use in most situations.

Pot life can be extended just a little by adding a half a cup of xylene per gallon of liquids into the liquids before adding the aggregate. Preparation of entire project, especially floor prep, is key for a successful long lasting floor or patch job.

AD114 - is a quickset 3-component epoxy mortar with excellent wear and abrasion resistance characteristics. AD114 is recommended for cold storage areas, refrigerators, and other areas where a quick turnaround is necessary.

Freezer Formulation Mortar AD116 - Similar to AD114, a little longer pot life to work with.

Artic Formulation AD118 - 2-4 min. work time.  Larger size kits not available because of the short pot life.

-AD127MWF-
Winter Formula is a two component 100% solids epoxy seal coat that can be used either as a coating or filled with paint chips, marble chips and colored sand mixtures to provide an infinite array of color schemes or patterns.

-AD10TWF- is a two component 100% (+/- 1%) solids epoxy colored coating designed for applications where a high build colorfast impact resistant floor with quicker curing properties is needed.
