Base coats do not require a primer but for best results with adhesion it is highly recommended. Floor that are not going to receive flakes a primer AD15 and base coat AD707 or AD707LVP works great.
A very recognized single color epoxy floor system that is also very economical is called a thin mil epoxy system. AD15 Primer and a pigmented AD322 urethane. For high traffic commercial floors use AD15 with AD358. Read data sheets for details.
Difference between AD707 and AD707LVP. AD707 is 100% solids which a squeegee is needed to apply while AD707LVP 93% can be applied with ROLLER ONLY, NO SQUEEGEE NEEDED. Note, AD707 should be used when applying heavier than 140 sqft per gal due to better leveling properties.
High Build Epoxy Floor Systems are designed for industrial floor application where the floor is subject to moderate traffic and chemical exposure. These systems are typically applied at 18 to 36 mils and are available in a variety of colors. The system creates an attractive high performance floor that is extremely durable and easy to clean.
AD707 100% Solids Epoxy
AD707 is a two component 100% (+/- 1%) solids epoxy colored coating designed for applications where a high build colorfast impact resistant floor is needed.
AD707LVP Low Viscous High Solids Epoxy
AD707LVP is used to prime heavily shot blasted high build commercial floor systems.
AD137MUV Seamless Binder (Good UV Resistance)
AD137MUV used when a clear base coat is needed. Typically used with full broadcast quarts systems. This product also used for topcoating flake and quarts systems when a high build smooth finish is desired. Add dry broadcast clear silica sand for non-skid if needed.
AD253 Chemical Resistant Novolac Epoxy
Epoxy used in harsh chemical enviroments. Use with primer AD257. Or AD82 for floor that were previously contaminated with oil.
AD95 Texture Coat
AD95 is a 100% solids epoxy for applications where a low build epoxy is needed to seal and hide epoxy mortar system imperfections while providing a durable textured wear surface. This product has outstanding wear resistance and superb chemical resistance.
