Flakes are added to the base coat using spiked shoes to walk out over the wet epoxy while tossing them as evenly as possible. Our time tested proven system is simple to follow and creates a professional floor.  Start by transferring half of the amount purchased into a bucket then spread them evenly across the entire floor.  At this point they will not look evenly spaced.  Next, take the remaining chips and apply the same way but this time apply them in greater or lesser concentrations making sure to not overdue any one area since you have only a limited amount of chips.  Apply by grasping small and medium sized handfuls from your pail and toss them into the air allowing them to fall on their own.  When near walls make sure to use very small amounts so they don't have a tendency to hit the walls and run straight down creating a heavy concentration on the floor near the base of the wall.

Choose from our assortment of pre-blends or create your own custom blend by ordering single colors.Typical medium/heavy epoxy paint chip coverage amounts are 5 lbs for a one car garage - 10 lbs for two cars 15 for large two car or three car garages.  Make sure to have a rationing technique for larger projects to ensure even coverage and so you do not run short.
